Happy Blog Birthday!

Just a quick post today to celebrate the 1 year anniversary (birthday?) of this blog. I had been considering starting a blog for several months before finally publishing my very first post on January 18, 2021.

Some stats for the first year:

• Page views: 620
• Visitors: 242
• Most page views in one day: 38
• Followers: 4 (Hi, Mom!)

Overall, I was on the fence about starting the blog for so long because I didn’t want it to become an obligation that I dreaded. There were a few months of lean content because of this, but I’m still enjoying it enough at my own pace to continue on.

Obviously, I haven’t hit it big yet in terms of popularity, but that wasn’t my intent in the first place. I’ll continue posting in hopes that documenting our journey to FI and beyond will be entertaining (and maybe even helpful) for somebody someday.
